As smart phones, laptops and tablets become more ubiquitous, the demand for wireless connectivity has sharply increased. WiMax is a technology that makes wireless internet as accessible as radio. With a broadcast range up to 50 miles, WiMax can deliver its signal citywide. When we heard this technology was coming to our neck of the woods, we were excited to work with the company providing it. RevWiMax needed a brand. Because WiMax is a relatively new technology to some areas, the company had to inform as well as represent itself well. We suggested using a falcon for the logo.
The soaring bird represents untethered freedom from hotspots and wires. Her wings form a wave; suggesting the vast expanse of coverage Rev WiMax provides. As the technology relies on airwaves to broadcast a signal, a double-meaning reveals itself to those searching for it. The semi-circle brings the logo together demonstrating the all-encompassing nature of Rev WiMax.
We developed the brand identity, brand guidelines and designed a vehicle wrap, and print collateral.
